Position: News Presenter (Media Presenter & Program Anchor)

We are seeking a dynamic and highly articulate Presenter candidate to serve as the face and voice of our KNG news broadcasting team. Working as an active presenter alongside our production team, this role demands presentable on-camera communication, research capabilities, and expert interview moderation while adhering to strict media ethics, across Kachin State and Myanmar.
As a presenter, you will work closely with the newsroom team manager and production team across production, research, and live presentation to develop and demonstrate key responsibilities in the following core areas:
- Lead and present in on-camera presentations, hosting, and delivering clear, presentable, and engaging content to diverse audiences for KNG’s daily TV news on-camera from scripts prepared by the newsroom editors.
- Conduct background research, synthesise data, and prepare content briefs across a variety of specialised thematic areas.
- Lead design of interview frameworks, draft structured questionnaires, conduct in-depth interviews, and moderate events. Review scripts in advance and flag any factual, translation, or clarity concerns before recording
- Scriptwriting and adjustment, video program planning, audio editing, and post-production workflows.
- Coordinate with the newsroom on recording schedules to keep the daily broadcast and publishing on track. Manage multi-task production schedules, meet tight broadcasting deadlines, and adapt quickly to dynamic live environments.
- Utilize your multilingual communication skills to prepare, present, and communicate across target audiences, internal reporting and external networking.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma/Certificate from a recognised Journalism School OR Equivalent combination of education and proven professional working experience as a broadcast presenter, news anchor, or media producer in lieu of a degree.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in both spoken and written Kachin (Jinghpaw) and Burmese, with at least intermediate-level English for reporting and internal communication.
- Media & Presentation Ability: Strong interest with clear confidence on-camera, and a foundational background in public speaking, broadcasting, and content creation. Able to take direction on script changes and adapt on short notice.
- Technical Familiarity: Applicable basic skills in audio and video editing with strong eagerness to learn media editing software and tools (e.g, Canva, Premiere Pro, and others), and adaptability to changes working in fast-paced newsroom production in scripting, narration and presenting.
- Time management and Mindset: Proactive, organised, open to feedback, and eager to grow under structured guidance. Resilience and professionalism in a public-facing media role, including reporting in a conflict-affected environment.
