Kachin News Group (KNG) has an urgent opening for the role of Finance Manager. We are looking for qualified internal candidates who meet the following criteria and invite applications from individuals who are experienced in finance and have strong managerial skills.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent experience in a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Must hold any international financial management certification or be a certified public accountant (CPA).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a finance manager role in non-government organisations and private sectors, preferably within the media industry.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial management and software utilizing (e.g; Microsoft advance Excel, QuickBooks).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work with the team and diverse work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Overall financial management of all operations within the organization. Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Provide strategic financial advice to the senior management team to develop financial strategies aligned with organization’s goal.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Prepare accurate financial reports and timely statements, including cash flow statements for funding partners.
- Identify financial risks and implement effective controls to ensure compliance with relevant financial policy regulations.
- Lead the finance team and manage to foster finance team professionals with a collaborative and results-driven approach.
